Hulle is ongelooflike diere en baie interessant. Veral wanneer hulle hardloop. Dit lyk asof hulle in “slow motion” hardloop en dit kan heel koemieklik wees.
Serendipitous! Just was reminded, yesterday, of a line from a Robert Fulghum book, and sharing it with you:
βDoes the giraffe know what he’s for? Or care? Or even think about his place in things? A giraffe has a black tongue twenty-seven inches long and no vocal cords. A giraffe has nothing to say. He just goes on giraffing.β
Excellent picture and well – – today? my tongue not black, but not talking – apparently, my fingers are doing the work for my vocal chords….LOL
Use it any time you wish, it’s in the greater world-wide-collective – but it’s not mine, I simply shared! It’s by author Robert Fulghum – author of many books – I believe this quote is from “All I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten” – but I’d have to pull out my copies and verify against online quote source attribution – – but, given your blog, your way of looking at/experiencing/sharing your world? I do believe you might enjoy Robert’s works – – he is an explorer too, on many fronts – π
His books were the collections of ‘read when ya can, take your time, short chapters’ on many fronts, ever before Chicken Soup for the Soul stuff really got popular – at least, that’s my ‘memory/experience’ – LOL
Also by Robert Fulghum – “The Storyteller’s Creed” –
“βStoryteller’s Creed:
I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
That dreams are more powerful than facts.
That hope always triumphs over experience.
That laughter is the only cure for grief.
And I believe that love is stronger than death.β

What does it eat? The terrain looks arid!

They mainly eat leaves and buds on trees. Luckily it’s quite a big terrain to explore. Roughly 20 000 hectares.
