Shockingly poignant. Thanks for sharing. I think it’s better to have a good state of mind than fame which is fleeting anyway.

Really interesting. I guess you could say quite simply you are what you eat.

Very interesting. In many ways I can empathise with Amelia – is that her real name? I definitely feel what she says about writing “happy” or lighter stuff. For some reason the last interviewers last question makes me think of name musicians more than writers, perhaps because a few days ago I was talking with friends about how, maybe, successful bands/singers must get sick to death of playing the same tunes. You gotta sing that song that made you famous.

That could be true, I’m not sure. Ed Sheeran once mentioned in an interview that he enjoys singing and playing his most famous songs because he enjoys seeing how happy the crowd and his fans are when they sing them with him.

Hard to admit but it’s damn true. Creativity instills in tough times 🙂

That was pretty interesting! I can attest that therapy has affected my own work in reshaping how I remember my memories. It -has- softened the darkness. It’s a tough question to answer. In a way, the artist becomes a voice for those who don’t know how, or simply cannot express.

I’m so glad therapy has helped shine a light on the darkness.
You’re absolutely right, and artists can let others know, who are going through dark and difficult times, that they are not alone.

Fascinating! Her suffering shaped her gift with words in ways to which many others in the world could relate. Her art did seem to be a form of therapy for her distress.
She still wrote after healing her dysfunctional body-mind connection , but it was no longer accepted—her following had related to the darkness of the “tortured artist.”
Should she suffer for the art and creativity to which her followers could relate ? Who defines the “success” of creativity?

That’s the question every artist needs to ask for him/herself.

Had cheese and apples for breakfast lunch and dinner today. Maybe that’s why my latest blog post was so easy to write. Hahaha
