Haha! Timing and experience! Especially in the wild, like this, where you have little control, it’s mostly about opportunity and being ready for it when it presents itself. 🙂
Beautiful photograph of the leopard. I did a series of sculpture for the World Wildlife Fund in the 1980s.
I lived in San Diego at the time and had a lifetime pass to the zoo and the wild animal park. I was there with my cameras a lot.

Beautiful! But why does it have a collar on its neck?
October 21, 2021 at 9:20 am
Thank you! It’s in a rehabilitation centre. It makes it easier for the nature guides to find the leopard and track its behaviour and wellbeing.

Luckily they are not endangered. There are roughly 700 000 of them in Africa 🙂

October 20, 2021 at 3:53 pm
Yes. It’s a tracking collar in order for the nature guides to study the leopard and make sure it’s healthy in rehabilitation.
