This is a beautiful, intriguing photo. I would love to know more, e.g., do these animals live among the massive sand dunes (I am guessing here) of Namibia? If so, what do they find to eat there? How long do they live? While I love looking at the photo, it leaves me wanting to know more.
Thank you so much! Yes they are native to the areas of Southern Africa. Areas like the Kalahari Desert. They’ll dig around to find roots and tubers. It’s common for them to eat wild tsama melons and cucumbers to supplement their water intake. They live for approximately 18 years.
