They definitely were when we(me and 3 other nature guides) stood close to them. They were aware we’re there but didn’t see us as a threat and continued to graze peacefully 🙂
Wonderful photos and what an amazing experience! I have trekked in the Namib desert and only saw a few en route, but I have been fortunate enough to see them in Kruger National Park. They are such gentle and beautiful beings, but must be respected, as with all species. Thanks for sharing this and for following my blog too. I have yet to paint a Rhino, but I’d really like to!
I bet it was, they effect you on a deep level, being close to them. I feel so very fortunate to have been there with them when I have and it breaks my heart to think that they are being hunted to extinction, alongside the other animals too. I really hope that this can be turned around before it’s too late. Wishing you all the best with your wonderful work. Jules
It absolutely does. Luckily so many people are giving and have given their lives in order to protect them from going extinct.
Thank you, Jules! To you as well!

There is something so calm and solid about these Rhinos. Minding their own natural lives. Thank you.
