Sometimes it is enough
to touch a blade of grass
and feel it breathe
in the space between the fingers.
I kneel down to pray,
turning inward
to touch that place of silence.
And grace rains on me
from an ever darkening
saffron evening sky.

Yes , and if you tightly hold that blade of grass stretched flat along the length of your two fingers, and blow through, it makes a musical sound like a whistle.

That is bringing God into your every moment and millimetre of space around you. To be consciously aware of Him in your moment. Wonderful

A beautiful poem, it is already part of my meditations; the space between my fingers is like the space between the in-breath and the out-breath, where there is silence. Thank you for publishing it here!

Very busy start to the school year, but I took a moment to open your post and read. Glad I did. The whole world needs that prayer right now. Thank you.

If you liked this poem, I would really recommend that you check out the philosophy of Sartre if you haven’t already. Really great stuff.
